Austin, TX food trucks are amazing so of course I had to do a fried pickle review from one during my visit. The place I chose is called Home Fries and it’s located on Rainey Street, an up and coming district full of food trucks and old homes that have been converted to bars and restaurants.
These fried pickles did not miss. The flavor was great and the portion was huge too. They lacked a notable crunch that is critical to high scoring pickles but still managed to impress me. The atmosphere at 2am was a swarm of loud drunk people and I cherished every moment while sitting on a food-stained picnic table eavesdropping on random conversations.
I’d go back in a heartbeat.
